“I know that you have seen psychologists and Speech-Language Pathologists in the past.”

I’ve had very little treatment. I saw one SLP, briefly, three or four years ago. I describe that experience in my reply to Angie Lyons. And I’ve seen one psychiatrist, who’s had no influence on my stuttering. I talk about that in my reply to Amy Nerchio.

“Are you willing to try therapy to help your covert stuttering?”

Sure. But who do I see? I live in Australia and I don’t think there’s much awareness of covert stammering over here. After all, my psychiatrist basically believes that I don’t have a stammer (even when I screwed up the courage to tell him), and the SLP I went to didn’t know anything about covert stammering … Have you got any suggestions? :)

“Whats next?”

Right now I’m “opening up” to correspondents from all over the world in this conference, and it’s a terrific experience. But I have no idea what it will lead to!

Terry
