The question was:
How did you choose your subjects for the research projects? It says that they were reviewed by a committee. Were there specific qualifications needed to be a subject or were people able to participate as long as they belonged to the NSA?
Response: We did not select the subjects for the projects specifically - the NSA Research Committee reviews the projects that researchers wish to conduct in partnership with the NSA. Then, for approved projects, we may help the researchers identify potential subjects. From there, subjects are treated according to the requirements of the university Institutional Review Board. Thus, the qualifications for subjects differ depending upon the research study and the researchers' needs. Does this help answer your question?
Thanks, Scott
