Hello, my name is Amber Pangallo and I am a junior at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I am enrolled in my first stuttering class this semester and I find it very interesting. We have not really learned about the therapies for stuttering yet, but have briefly learned about direct and indirect therapy. Therapeutic listening seems like it makes perfect sense, listening and paying attention to a person who doesn’t have a fluency disorder would boost their self-esteem and give them more confidence to speak so it would obviously work for a person who has a fluency disorder. I found your article extremely interesting and was wondering if you could give me any information on any other indirect therapies or any websites that would give me information about them. Thank you!
