Hi Cathy and Richard, It's great what you're doing for teens at the Beaumont TWIST Support Group. Building confidence, encouraging self-acceptance and aiding desensitization is so important. They also know that they are not alone. I, initially, wondered if the attendance of parents might inhibit them a little (to speak openly about their stuttering) but, on reflection, I feel that it can certainly be mutually beneficial. Mom (and hopefully Dad)will gain a greater insight into the thoughts, feelings and difficulties experienced by their offsprings. Incidentally, my wife has accompanied me to every support group that I have ever attended. Family support is invaluable. Keep up the good work! Kindest regards Alan Badmington
