Tim: From what you're shared it sounds like your client has a reading problem. Weiss (1964; 1967; 1968) described reading disabilities as a common symptom of cluttering. But it can occur independently too. If his oral coordination system is intact I would get help from some reading people. Dr. St. Louis probably knows some. Good luck.
