Hello Kaye: I know that Klass, Ken St. Louis, & Flo Myers all recognize fast rate as an important sign. I do too. However, some of the older literature (e.g., Luchsinger, Arnold, Frieschels, & Weiss) make the point that not all clutterers have rapid rate. They argue that some clutterers just speak too fast for their motor systems and that their rate is within normal limits.
