Hi Chad and Kate, Thank you for your questions. As regards the vulnerabilty in my case this is related specifically to myself in that due to my speech dysfluency...there is always a sense of uncertainty in my presentation skills. The vulnerability definately comes to the fore during exam boards where I have to read out loud. This often leaves me feeling very unsure and can have a negative effect on my self confidence. As regards a specific vulnerability concept, as a physiotherapist I am not familar with any specific theories on vulnerability. On a personal level, having a sense of vulnerabilty is not always a negative thing! Being autocratic and very sure of oneself can sometimes isolate those we teach....therefore we lose the empathy needed to understand a student`s learning needs. Vulnerability can sometimes keep one alert and on our toes, so to speak!
