Hi Megan, Thank you for your response! One major factor in the management and improvement of my fluency has been trying not to avoid difficult speaking situations. Although my wife still does the majority of telephone calls that involve enquiries, to plummers, etc.. Having a job that involves speaking to groups of people has REALLY helped me improve my fluency. You only learn to swim by getting in the water!! Your question on fluency induction techniques is very interesting......I have often struggled with the upcoming block on specific words....my name is a goods example. This always happens when we have to introduce ourselves in a meeting (one of my big frustrations!) If you have any suggestions or website links, would be greatly appreciated! The "feel the fear and do it anyway" is a general approach to life....but can be tough at times! Having a sense of humour, realising that 100% fluency is not important all the time and knowing your subject all seem to help. Kind regards, Rob
