I am a first year graduate student enrolled in a Stuttering class. I really enjoyed your article and I agree with your principles. Especially #4 and #5; treatment of stuttering does take time and patience. acceptance. Do you feel that activities that promote speaking but do not necessarily have to focus on the fluency part of therapy(ex. board games, arts and cratfs) are more productive than focusing on "smooth speech" in terms of allowing the client to become more comfortable with their own speech?
