Andi, Frankly, I usually do not conduct "push-in" therapy with my kids who stutter. However, I've had much success with working with the entire class teaching them Fluency Initiating Gestures (FIGs) to enhance their oral speaking skills (part of the regular Language Arts curriculum). The child who stutters acts as my teaching assistant...giving him a chance to practice skills for carryover and an opportunity to share what he does in therapy.
