Leys, you mention Senator Joe Biden. Vice-presidents traditionally take on special projects. If he wins, perhaps Biden could be convinced to take stuttering on as a special project in regard to treatment, research and public education. The National Institute on Deafness and other Communication Disorders, one of the National Institutes of Health in the U.S., has been doing research on stuttering. Perhaps Biden could convince the NIDCD to fund a demonstration project of the coordinated multidisciplinary team approach for the treatment of stuttering. --edfeuer@mts.net
