Sure. Co-treatments I've done have looked like a music therapy session, except that a speech therapist (or OT, or VI teacher, or or or...) is also participating. The SLP will participate in providing feedback and usually in making music along with the MT and the individual. It's great to have the SLP there, because they're better versed in giving feedback specific to voice use and fluency, and usually better in thinking off the top of their head about particular language choices and patterns to use. SLPs have usually told me that they enjoy doing MT co-treats because we keep the session moving along and engaging and we provide a framework for doing the work in the context of something purposeful, whereas their sessions might look more like a lot of drills and repetition. Great question!
