Dear Nomi, The data I referred to was primarily taken from convenience samples (i.e., friends, acquaintances, and family members as well as friends, acquaintances, and family members of these people). In Turkey, we have some of the first data from probability (i.e., semi-random) samples, but the research is currently ongoing. Some initial glimpses at the data suggest some interesting differences compared to the convenience samples. What I can tell you is that very few respondents in any of our convenience samples stuttered. In the total archive so far of 2000+ respondents, it appears that we have between 1-2% who indicated by a check that they stutter(ed). That's a bit higher than the expected prevalence of slightly less than 1%, but certainly not enough to bias the results. Hope this helps. Ken
