An excellent idea! For centuries, cultures around the world have used story-telling to teach children the basic values of their society, including "cautionary tales" to warn children of things to avoid. The "Tarby" stories provide a narrative that the child finds interesting and to which he or she can relate, and the accompanying directions make it easy for the storyteller (parent or therapist) to make the maximum use of the story. I think it's great that the authors are going to prepare a Tarby story that will deal with the emotionality of stuttering, in addition to the stories centered around specific behavioral changes.
