I enjoyed reading your approach towards fluency disorders and I agree that negative attitudes can affect how an individual feels towards their fluency. The idea of a Power Point presentation is a fantastic idea for not only for the clinician to gain more insight into how their client perceives their fluency but also help the client take ownership of their fluency. In my graduate school counseling class, we discuss how important it is for clients to take ownership of their disorder before any true progress can be made and the Power Point could help clients to begin to take ownership. The Power Point could also help clients educate their friends to have a better understanding of communication difficulties that may arise. Have you found that this approach would work with adults?
