No. When engaging in an educational task, the SLP should always keep the focus on the goal- which in this case is educational. If you start the game with the goal of using strategies, then I would reinforce the use of the strategy- I never use negative reinforcement. Once a student earns a token, I don't believe in taking it away because he/she stutters. Get more for you effort when using positive praise.
