It’s possible that if society at large accepts stuttering and destigmatizes it (jobs aren’t lost because of it, people aren’t made fun of or mocked, people aren’t fearful to “be found out”), then those who stutter will not feel shame, embarrassment, or fear, and thus by virtue of a different social construct of acceptance might find some of their “transfluencies” remediate by themselves.
