Hi Carlos, Thank you for your kind remarks. Sharing my experiences has had a two-fold effect. Firstly, it has provided others (future SLPs and members of the public) with a better understanding of what stuttering involves. It has also helped to desensitize my own feelings towards the many difficulties that I have encountered throughout my life as a result of my speech. The very nature of stuttering is such that some may well feel reluctant, or unable, to discuss it with others. Those who are interested in following my example may wish to seek the support of other PWS when considering such challenges. Several members of a support group might give a collective presentation, rather than speaking on their own. They would gain confidence and strength in numbers. Kindest regards Alan
