Hello Lauren, Again I think it comes down to pure choice of whether or not you choose to label yourself. It is fairly clear that you could easily bracket stuttering as a disability under the WHO definition. I guess a person who stutters who does not allow their stuttering to limit their daily lives indeed would most likely not see themselves as currently being disabled. But again it is so individualistic this choice. Perhaps when presented with a common definition they could see that perhaps in the past at times they have been “disabled” by it? Again this goes back to the thought of disability not necessarily being a lifetime label but more of a transitional one.
