I was actually just wondering about this topic a few days ago. I’m glad I saw your post. Did you find in your research that certain sounds defined by their place or manner that are more of a high frequency stuttered sound than other sounds? In your data sample did you take into account how much therapy, if any, the participates received? Could prolongations decrease at older ages because the adults received speech therapy and learned strategies to reduce this?
