Megan - in our therapy approach, we do not utilize, encourage, demonstrate, demand the usage of, or imply the TWS to use ANY TECHNIQUES that are focused on stopping or controlling stuttering. Our who approach is about decreasing communication apprehension (fear of stuttering & fear of talking), increasing talking, increasing interaction in the TWS AND the education, the development of skills by the parents of the TWS to assist in these goals with the TWS, and having the parent be an active participant in this therapy process.
