I found this article very interesting. I am currently in a fluency disorders class for my graduate coursework and have been delving deeper into different strategies used to improve fluency. I have taken a few different courses that talked about diaphragmatic breathing and have experienced those effects first hand when it comes to stress and wellness management. To see breathing techniques used to improve fluency doesn’t really surprise me. I would definitely like to see more peer-reviewed articles discussing costal breathing and research more into this topic.
