This was a well written paper that described the anger and torment that a PWS can go through, even from well -meaning, close family members. Thank you for sharing your story, and how successful you have become in spite of some hurtful comments that have been made by someone so close to you. Did you ever want to confront your father about the comment he made regarding your job choice and his comment about your choosing a career that you wouldn't have to talk much in? If so how did it go; and if not, would what would you potentially tell other PWS if they asked you "should I talk with my family member about a hurtful comment they made to me re. my stuttering and how it will affect my future career/what I can/can't do?" Again great paper and thank you for sharing your personal story. This will surely be inspirational to many PWS who may feel that they can not accomplish what they want to, career-wise, because of stuttering; and hopefully educational to those who think PWS can not go into a career that they really desire to do, whether it includes talking a lot or not.
