Dr. Rentschler, I found your article to be very interesting. In class we recently simulated therapy sessions for a client who stutters. Your article opened my eyes to a whole different aspect of stuttering, and left me intrigued to learn more. In a therapy session, what is a good way to help motivate a PWSC? I believe that motivation is a key component in completing goals set in therapy. With the various emotions related to covert stuttering I feel as though motivation might be easily lost by the client, and I am curious about any thoughts you have on motivation especially with a client who stutters covertly. Thank you for your time, Meredith Evancho
