Elizabeth, under normal circumstances, time pressure can tense the speaking system, leading to trouble. To be honest, however, when honing my answers, I was concentrating so much on editing that I never really thought about factoring in stuttering time (or about what I’d do if I suddenly lapsed into a 20 second long disfluency). Good thing—I’d have driven myself nuts!
