Thank you for sharing your article! Do you feel people who stutter covertly are discriminated when it comes to qualifying for therapy services? For example, in the school setting, a child who stutters covertly may never be referred for therapy services. If the child is referred, the child may not qualify for services if he or she doesn't produce enough disfluencies during the evaluation. What are your thoughts on the matter? Judy Kuster brought this issue up in of my classes and I never considered how PWSC may be affected by predetermined qualification standards.
