Great question! Thank you! Actually, yes, I did find it to be true in some neurogenic stuttering clients, but definitely not in all of my neurogenic stuttering clients. Some of them showed only slight differences in severity of symptomatology between different speech tasks. Some showed huge differences. One of my clients, an adult male who started stuttering after a traumatic brain injury, does not show any variety at all among speech tasks. He even stutters in the same way when singing, whispering, joking, counting or repeating single words.
