Thank you for sharing your story with us. I do have a question, and I hope that you can share your insight. You mentioned repeatedly that only someone who stutters can understand what it is like, and you said that your most effective clinician was also someone who stutters. I am training to become an SLP, but I do not stutter. I do, however, see the importance of being able to empathize with the people that I work with. Is there an analogy or a description that you could give me, in order to help me better understand what it is like?
