Thanks Dale. You make a great point there. These sites, it they do go down the academic route, tend to bunch around a small group of SLPs and PWS as evidence. These noted SLPs normally themselves have no publications under their belt in the area. Some the of noted PWS may have no idea they are used as example. Usually examples of the fact that they cured themselves away from an SLP so it is possible. I am very vocal against such sites and are often privately attacked by devotees (perhaps socks of the owner?) and they state that such and such has written a book about it and that is proof. I counter by saying that a self-published book is proof of nothing at all beyond a single individual's account
