In 2004 the National Stuttering Association (NSA) held it's annual convention in Baltimore. Since that was not far from Washington DC, organizers asked then Senator Biden's staff if he could come to greet the convention, since his youthful struggles with stuttering were well known. They said he could fit into his schedule a 10 or 15 minute greeting. He came, and spoke for an hour and a half — the first portion from the lectern, the latter part walking among the audience. This is his speech in full.
