A very powerful paper. I liked the advice and the conclusion. The 4 factors that help perpetuate stuttering were also clearly stated and said the truth that many people need to hear -both stutterers and non. I think that education for better awareness for both stutterers and others is very important. I was wondering about the percentage of people who actually succeed in being covert stutters and for how long? Maybe it's a phase that many deal with and walk out from, but evidently, i guess its not like that. I think that childhood and teenage years are the most important time to spread awareness to recognize and accept the real fluency stutteres have. So why not use the power of the Net and create special websites and net-communities targeting teenagers, designed for them, to attract, interact, and let many, easily, obtain information or share info even when they are afraid of asking. A simple yahoo search that I conducted searching for "teenagers and stuttering" didn't return many promising results in my opinion.
