Stefan,
I really don't have much control over the way the threaded discussions are set up. I use Front Page and it is pretty much what you see is what you get. Not only would a link back to the conference site be helpful, but even more important to me would be changing the word "post" at the top to "comment.." I don't know if that would help people who get confused about that "post" button and then the way they actually have to hit "post article" at the bottom of the page to make it work.
If I do this conference again I could add a link back to the mail conference page at the bottom of the actual articles though. It is probably a good idea to do that.
In the mean time, there are three ways to get back to previous pages. I use Netscape so it works a little different, but there are three ways in Explorer, too. There is of course the back button which takes you back one page at a time. You can hold your cursor down on the actual page you have open and you will see that you have that same option available on a little screen that opens, too. The third way allows you to go back to whichever page you want, without going back one page at a time. In Netscape there is a GO option at the top of the browser. In Explorer there is a HISTORY option along the side. Using either of those options allows you to go back to any previous page in your cache.
