I Really enjoyed your article! I Really liked the idea of confidentially asking family and friends to rate fluency...That is not only creative but good to help PWS realize that people dont completely focus on how fluent they are. I work with a guy who says that he stuttered during his childhood until about middle school. Eventhough he rarely stutters now, I can tell that he still has much anxiety about stuttering. For instance, if he has to deal with an irate customer about something, he will kind of get stressed out. Once the incident is over, he always seems relieved that he was fluent. I know he is self-conscious about his fluency(eventhough he is just as fluent as the next person). I was wondering if clinics or rehabilitation programs for stutterers have started using the survey technique to help PWS with their worries of what others think? I think it is a super idea...it might be something to consider.
