Hi Judy Sorry about the mishap! Anyway, to answer your question, in order to qualify as a Speech, Language and Hearing Therapist in SA, we have to complete a 4 year degree (B. in Speech, Language and Hearing Therapy). In our final year we have to write up a thesis. We don’t need our Masters in order to practice-thank goodness! Up until this year, Speech & Language was not separated from Audiology. Now, students can choose after their second year whether they wish to specialize in either Speech or Audio. I hope I have answered your questions. Kind regards Cathy
