Hi Katie - again! (I saw you on my Iceberg paper!)
How long did it take to reach that point? How about a minimum of 40 years! Since long before you were born! It's been quite a journey for me. And the self acceptance seemingly takes forever. I think you will really enjoy that (as much as I enjoyed writing it) - and it will tell you a little more about my self acceptance journey.
The "big scar on your forehead" comment, by the way, came from an extremely COVERT stutterer. She's still struggling with the issue of self acceptance. Not easy stuff. It's 99% below the waterline of the iceberg...
