I know a few sutterers who have overcome their stuttering on the outside: they can speak in any given situation, they are in control and they've overcome logophobia and socio-emotional problems of stuttering. But they will always try to convince us: NO, I STILL STUTTER! Now since I'm not close to this point, I am wondering: isn't it just a millimeter away to switch to being a Fluent? Aren't they the ones who are sticking a label of a stutterer on themselves, because they are scared to let it go? What would it take for one to say "my stutteriung is over"? Bravery? Why to we cling on to stuttering? Is it a sort of psychological limb?
