Peter, Of course, you want to get the stutterer back to his stuttering as soon as possible. I have found the best method to use is to get the stutterer to fake his real stuttering and frequently his blocks will turn real. He also needs to be strongly encouraged to go into his blocks and really rewarded for doing so. I have been thinking about your book and would like to have you consider including a cassette or better still a CD demonstrating exactly what you mean by by stretching, bouncing, voluntary stuttering and pausing. You see, I didn't know what you meant be pausing. Yes, I will write that endorsement, but it will have to wait until Diane and I get back from antelope hunting on October 17th. Hope that won't louse up things.
