Thank you for sharing this story and article. I am currently a graduate student in speech pathology and still trying to learn the many ways to treat stuttering and also work with the included feelings and emotions. At what point do you relate to a client that his/her stuttering is incurable? I realize that this must be done with great compassion and careful wording. Is it difficult to recommend other types of therapy (e.g., seeing a psychologist) to stuttering clients? I appreciate your thoughts and thank you again for the enlightening article!
