Hi Melinda,
I'm glad you enjoyed the Iceberg Analogy paper. I had fun writing it. Amazingly enough, Joe Sheehan and I crossed paths at Purdue University for a year in 1961 or 62, quite a few years before he developed that analogy. I was a student of his when he invited me to join his graduate class of SLPs. Hey, with a classroom full of beautiful girls, I jumped at the chance! <smile> And I wasn't even in speech pathology - I was an electrical engineer! I sure wish I would have known at the time what an icon he would become in the stuttering world!
As you can tell, I love analogies. They make you look at a problem from another perspective.
I hope you are enjoying this wonderful on-line conference!
