Do all uncontrollable situations increase...
Only those which also depress me somewhat. When I was a youth I was often in trouble with the law. The periods of time waiting to go to court were extremely stuttery/stressful. I did know what was going to happen and I was very apprehensive; My stuttering increased significantly. However, I have been totally out of control on a ski slope - Fantastic experience. I still love wild funfair rides. No control but total enjoyment - no detriment to my stuttery state.
So it's having no control and maybe fear/depression also which does me in.. :o))
