The season premiere of the Fox TV Program, "Boston Public" featured a story line about a student suspended for taking unprescribd medication for his stuttering. He sued. And in a funny twist to the story, the judge trying the case was also a stutterer. The judge spoke about how stutterers are made fun in the movies and elsewhere. Does being offended by movies that make fun of stuttering including the stuttering Porky Pig cartoons present a problem to your position that being able to laugh at stuttering is a positive thing? I certainly tell funny stories about my stuttering experience. But I question whether a nonstutterer has the right to make of stuttering he hasn't been challenged with.
