I think that humor is indeed a great way to relieve stress, break the ice, and to ease your way through tough situations. There are some individuals who really don't know how to express humor or those who may be very serious people. What might an SLP say to an individual such as this when trying to bring humor into the therapy setting? Is there a way to "teach" someone how to express humor when it really isn't part of their personality?
