As a member and cochairman of Dr.Merson's stuttering support group, at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital, I have had the opportunity to give the SpeechEasy a brief "test run." One of the issues that I had with the SpeechEasy was that even though it helped, I still felt that at any moment I would start to stutter. I still had the same thoughts and anxiety about stuttering with the device in my ear. I knew that I would stutter even with the SpeechEasy. Make sense?

Also, in our support group, we have three people that I know of that are currently using a SpeechEasy. Two of those people still seem to have a severe stutter even with the device. Does the device work better with people with a moderate stutter than those with a severe stutter? Just wondering how much the "fear" of stuttering over rides the benefits of the SpeechEasy.
