Mr. Molt: I thoroughly enjoyed reading your article. I have a questin from a speech pathology stand-point...In regards to treating the social phobia versus treating the stuttering, as a future SLP I have been taught that dealing with social phobias in individuals who stutter falls within my professional detail. You had listed a number of different medications that are used to treat social phobias, and I am wondering, how much of the speech therapy should continue to focus on the social phobia aspect if the individual who stutters is taking one of the many SSRIs?
