I found your article to be very interesting. I am currently enrolled in a stuttering class in graduate school and was also required to pseudo stutter in three situations. I think this is a great assignment--although I was terrified to do it, I learned a great deal from it. I think it is smart to have the students go out in groups together. I found that when I went by myself, I had a really hard time judging the reaction of my listener which is an important part of the assignment. I was so caught up in my own feelings and anxiety that I am positive I missed some of the reactions. I was wondering how your students felt about this assignment, both before and after?
