I apologize that my question comes so late. What an interesting article!! I knew that metaphors were used in this field, such as I have heard of the "iceberg". What I did not know before, thus learned from this article was that you could use the metaphors in therapy to give the patient a new view.
My question is when using the "ice berg" metaphor you mentioned "lowering the water line", could you also maybe say "letting your iceberg slowly melt" which would relate to not being so cold, not being so isolated, and getting to the root of things?
