I agree that it is important to work with families and provide more than informational brochures, but how do you know how far to go in the role of counselor? I am a first year graduate student and have never worked with a PWS so I am not sure exactly what goes into counseling families of PWS. Is it ever appropriate to suggest the client seek professional psychological counseling to deal with some of the emotional issues he or she may have as a result of his or her stuttering?
