It is very enjoyable to hear about the importance of listening skills regarding children who stutter. As a graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology at The College of Saint Rose, there is a large emphasis placed on mastering counseling skills for our clients. I believe that for some it comes naturally, and for others it may be very difficult. However, I do feel that anyone can learn how to utlize good listening skills if they are willing to practice. It is imperative that we all do so, so that we can best serve our clients. Thank you for the validation, it was a very refreshing article to read.
