This was a fantasic article. I agree, with out trust you would not be able to have an effective relationship with a client. The non-verbal cues for listening are wonderful reminders to help anyone involved in a stutter's life. It only makes sense that if they feel that they are being heard and understood, they would decrease their anxiety and be able to relax a little more and maybe even open up and share more of thier thoughts. As a Communication Disorders student I would be very interested in being informed/educated on listening skills, not only would it help in clinical practice but in everyday life. This article was wonderful! Do you notice that children who stutter attend to a conversation better than a non-stutterer, because they want to be listened to? Thank you
