Dear Heather, Good to know that my message is helpful. But I have to say it's only half the truth. The other half is that I have worked hard to minimise the amount of stuttering in my speech. The less the better is the general rule. If I'm tired or it somehow surfaces more frequently than usual, I don't beat myself up, but just get on with talking. At the same time, I will draw more heavily on a flunecy shaping technique to ease through. So, sure it's okay to stutter, but really only if this acceptence is grounded in a wider effort to speak as fluently as I can in any given situation. I hope this will be useful to pass on to your clients. Yours Andrew
